Portfolio Committee to receive submissions on alternative use of the old Natal Spruit Hospital Site
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Infrastructure Development will on Tuesday, 28 February 2017, host a Stakeholder Engagement Session aimed at soliciting submissions from members of the public on ways to re-use the old Natal Spruit Hospital site after the hospital was demolished.
The old hospital building was built on a dolomitic site and could not continue operating in its state as sinkholes were beginning to form on the land.
The hospital was officially replaced by the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus.
