Tomorrow, Saturday 24 June 2017, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, and the Department of Community Safety will host a Youth Dialogue in Wesbank as part of the Departmental Youth Month observations under the theme: “Youth, Life Counts!”.
The Youth Dialogue will see the youth from the broader Wesbank, Tafelsig, Lentegeur, Eastridge, The Farm, Beacon Valley, Delft, Silversands, Mfuleni and Belhar engage on topics, solutions and opportunities relating to their concerns of safety and violence.
The Department of Community Safety will be joined by various religious leaders and organisations, non-governmental organisations, local municipal councillors, the community policing forum, as well as representatives of the South African Police Service (SAPS), South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and the Department of Correctional Services.
There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
