Mineral Resources Minister Mr Mosebenzi Zwane (MP) will on Thursday, 19 January 2017, release statistics on the health and safety performance of the mining industry for the 2016 calendar year.
The statistics highlight the performance of the industry in terms of fatalities, injuries and occupational diseases, among others, as well as enforcement measures in place to ensure adherence to provisions contained in the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
