Minister Aaron Motsoaledi receives medical equipment from Vice Premier of China, 25 Apr

The South African Minister of Health Dr Aaron Motsoaledi and his deputy Dr Joe Phaahla will today, 25 April 2017 receive medical equipment, mainly Imaging equipment from the Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China as part of China-Africa’s Cooperation in Health agreement concluded in November 2015, Cape Town.

The Steve Biko Academic Hospital is the first beneficiary of the agreement.  

The medical equipment will be officially handed over to South African authorities by Her Excellency, Ms LIU Yandong, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.

The Vice Premier will be accompanied by the Minister of Health and Family Planning Commission of China, Li Bin from the People's Republic of China at Steve Biko Academic Hospital.

The equipment to be donated include High-end portable colour ultrasound system, SynoVent E5 Adult/Neonate ventilator and A7 High-end anaesthesia workstation, which have all been sourced from South Africa.
