Gauteng Department of Social Development (GDSD) MEC Nandi Mayathula-Khoza will visit the family of Ntando Mokoena whose three children died in a shack fire yesterday.
The MEC said she will be visiting the family to pay her respects to the deceased and send her condolences to the family.
“As a caring government we will be joining the local community to help the bereaved and mourn this tragic passing of innocent children. We have mobilised social workers and Social Relief from the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and other forms of assistance from government to help the family to cope during this difficult time”, she said.
