MEC Mashatile to address historic gathering of traditional leaders

A provincial Imbizo for Traditional leaders across Gauteng is currently underway at the Kempton Park Civic Centre.

The gathering, hosted by Gauteng Department Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) in partnership with The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) Gauteng, will be addressed by the departmental MEC Paul Mashatile, on Wednesday 17 May 2017.

About 200 Traditional Leaders from the five regions of the Province are in attendance at this historical meeting. Some of the issues on the agenda include the land question, initiation rites, Provincial House of Traditional Leaders, capacity building for Traditional Leaders and Traditional Courts.
