MEC Donald Grant briefs media on 2017 Safely Home Provincial Easter Operational Plan, 6 Apr

MEC Grant and Provincial Traffic Chief to brief the media on plans ahead of busy Easter period

MEC of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, and the Department’s Provincial Traffic Chief will be briefing the media on the 2017 Safely Home Provincial Easter Operational Plan. The plan will outline the planned interventions, over this upcoming Easter weekend, to improve safety on our roads for the thousands that will be travelling over this infamously busy period.

MEC Grant and the Traffic Chief will be:

  • Releasing statistics on recent concerning road trends,
  • Releasing fatality stats relating to past Easter periods,
  • Announcing new interventions specifically targeted at addressing reckless and negligent driving.

All media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews and photographs. Please indicate if you will be in attendance.
