We are once again, at the end of yet another exciting year, 2016 which was full of remarkable moments in many areas of our education in the province. As we welcome the Christmas and end-of-year season, with all the joy, excitement and merriment that is part of the tradition, we do secure in our minds that our education is on the right track.
Christmas reminds us of the ideals and virtues of service to humanity. Our commitment to improve the lives of citizens for the better is embodied in the Christmas spirit. It is a period that fills our souls with gratitude for many blessings in our lives.
Christmas is a time to rejoice and reflect. During this special time of the year, we are reminded to spread the message of love and mercy. We are reminded of our overall responsibility to serve humanity and spread peace. Let us extend our hand to the vulnerable and those less fortunate than we are.
We are delighted to extend seasons’ greetings to all of the stakeholders, friends, associates and social partners for your commitment to ensure the department continues to provide quality basic education. I would like also to extend my gratitude to our staff members, management, learners, parents and educators for their support in 2016.
