Energy Minister, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson, will lead an Imbizo in recognition of the milestone achieved through the Integrated National Electrification Programme at Greater Tubatse Local Municipality on Friday, 29 July 2016. The newly electrified rural community of Frans North (Driekop) comprises of 1380 households that have recently been connected to the national grid.
Minister Joemat-Pettersson will use this platform to interact with the community of Frans North, Driekop on matters pertaining to service delivery, with a specific focus on energy related issues. The Imbizo programme (community engagement) aims to promote the interaction of the spheres of government with local communities, in order to pursue government’s objectives to accelerate service delivery for communities.
