Transport Deputy Minister conducts Imbizo in Mpumalanga
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga, will be visiting the Zamokuhle community in Amersfoort, Mpumalanga as part of the imbizo Focus Week on Saturday, 22 April 2017.
Deputy Minister Chikunga will address the multi-sectoral structures of the Zamokuhle local community including scholars, youth, parents, the local business sector and community organisations.
This imbizo will provide a direct interactive communication plartform between the Deputy Minister and the community of Amarfoort on Government’s service delivery programmes.
There will also be a career exhibition at Hlelimfundo Combined School that will target learners from Grade 10 to 12. The Department of Transport and its agencies have study and bursaries opportunities targeting school pupil and youth. The Department and some of its agencies will share information about such opportunities.
Ms Chikunga will also handover a refurbished staff room and ablution facilities to Hlelimfundo Combined School. The facilities were donated by the agency of the Department, the Road Accident Fund (RAF). The refurbished staff room and ablution facilities will enable learners to have a conducive learning environment.
