The National Department of Health, National Health Laboratory Service, National Institute for Communicable Diseases, and Right to Care invite you for a media briefing of South Africa’s viral load\CD4 monitoring dashboard for better national HIV\AIDS planning
The most significant measure of the success of South Africa’s HIV/Aids programme can be measured using viral load and CD4 counts. Until now it has not been possible to track these national results effectively.
Right to Care in collaboration with the Department of Health, National Health Laboratory Service, National Institute of Communicable Diseases and Boston University have developed a national viral load monitoring dashboard.
This will provide quality data visualisation online to registered users to inform programme planning, monitoring, coordination and reporting. This approach will support South Africa’s effort to reach the UNAIDS 90 90 90 targets, which includes 90% of people on treatment to have their viral load fully suppressed by 2020.
