Fuel price awareness campaign
The Department of Energy will be in Northern Cape Province to educate members of the public on the structure of the Fuel Price. This campaign forms part of the department’s mandate, to ensure energy security for all.
The objective of this campaign is to get all motorists and the public at large to understand how fuel prices are adjusted or regulated by the Department of Energy, and to correct misperceptions which many have about the fuel price increases and the impact on the economy at large.
The theme for this campaign is “Knowledge is power”.
The campaign is scheduled to take place in Northern Cape (Kimberley) as follows:
- Tuesday, 14 February 2017 – Viva Garage in Backley West
- Wednesday, 15 February 2017 – Kim Park Shopping Centre in Kimberley
- Thursday, 16 February 2017 – Galeshewe Plaza in Galeshewe township
