The Department of Energy herewith informs the public about the fuel prices for January 2016. South Africa’s fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis, informed by international and local factors.

The wholesale price of diesel, 0.05% sulphur and 0.005% sulphur, will decrease by 76c/l and 78c/l respectively and the wholesale price of illuminating paraffin will decrease by 63c/l and the single maximum national retail price (SMNRP) will decrease by 84.0c/l with effect from 06 January 2016.
