Free State hosts closing event for 16 Days of Activism Campaign of No Violence against Women and Children, 10 Dec

The Free State Provincial Government will host the President of the Republic, Hon. J.G Zuma on December 10, 2016 in concluding the 16 Days of No Violence against Women and Children, in a much anticipated event to be held at Bakenpark Stadium, in Bethlehem. This year the campaign which advocates for no Violence Against Women and Children is held under the pertinent theme: “Count Me In: Together Moving a Non-Violent South Africa Forward”.

The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign is an International United Nations endorsed initiative that takes place annually from 25 November (International Day of No Violence Against Women) to 10 December (International Human Rights Day).

The event is scheduled as follows:

16 Days Campaign is not viewed as a stand-alone event, but it is another leg of the #356 Days Campaign and #Count Me In, which aims to mobilise members of society, especially men to join hands with government against child and women abuse.
