Public Works Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko attends Easter Church Service in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal

The Minister of Public Works Nkosinathi Nhleko will on Saturday be a special guest at the Easter service of the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church at Empangeni in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The church is an African independent off-shoot of a church founded by English missionary Alexander Dowie in the late 1800s.

Minister Nhleko who lives in Empangeni, said he was honoured to be invited to worship with members of the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church this Easter.

Said Nhleko: “The role of faith-based organisations is critical in our society, particularly as we battle various social ills such as drug and alcohol abuse among the youth.

All South Africans ought to return to God, and by so doing help with the moral regeneration of ourselves as individuals, families and society in general. Easter is such a special moment for reviving one’s faith and humbling oneself before the Almighty.”

The service will be held at the church’s headquarters in the Nqutshini Reserve in the greater Empangeni area from 11:00 – 14:00.
