As part of commemorating Human Rights Month, the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery will officially launch the Boschfontein Sexual Offences Court in Mpumalanga on 24 March 2017. The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by the Premier David Mabuza, Executive Mayor, Cllr Thulisile Swenky Khoza and other stakeholders.
The new model sexual offences courts aim to improve the conviction rate in sexual crimes, decrease the turnaround time in resolving these matters at court level and to provide services in such a way as to support victims throughout the process.
