Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe to visit North West Tourism Enterprise Development Incubator
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Elizabeth Thabethe, will visit the North West province to engage with the local economic cluster, and assess the progress made by the Department’s first Tourism Enterprise Development Incubator launched in October 2016.
The Deputy Minister’s visit which will commence with a breakfast session with North West Tourism stakeholders, and culminate with stopovers at the establishments owned by the beneficiaries of the Tourism Enterprise Development Incubator programme.
The Tourism Enterprise Development Incubator is a virtual platform that facilitates the provision of remote business support interventions for existing tourism SMME’s in the North West Province. It is envisioned that the incubator will promote economic inclusion that will result in viable tourism businesses that will create sustainable jobs, and contribute to the economic development of local communities.
The Tourism Enterprise Development Incubator is an initiative of the Department of Tourism in partnership with North West Department of Tourism, Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, and Moses Kotane Local Municipality.
