Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng briefs media on 4th Congress of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa, 26 Apr

Members of the media are invited to a media briefing at the closing day of the fourth Congress of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CCJA), currently taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The media briefing will be addressed by the Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa, the Honourable Mogoeng Mogoeng, who is expected to be elected President of the CCJA during the Congress.

The CCJA is an independent institution established by Constitutional Judiciaries in Africa to ensure that the Judiciary in each member state supports and deepens democracy by upholding constitutionalism and the rule of law.

The Congress is hosted by the South African Judiciary, led by the Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng. The theme for the Congress is “Strengthening the independence of the judiciary and respect for the rule of law”.
