Justice and Constitutional Development embarks on Constitutional Awareness Programme in North West, 26 Apr

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) will embark on constitutional education session with secondary school students in North West on Wednesday, 26 April 2017. The session forms part of the Freedom Month commemoration activities coordinated under the theme: “Celebrating our Constitutional Democracy”.

Approximately 150 High School learners from Jouberton, Kanana, Khuma and Tlokwe areas will deliberate among others the values of human rights as enshrined in the Constitution as well as Children’s Court and Sexual Offences. The formal programme will be preceded by a tour of the Potchefstroom Correctional Centre.
