Application for media accreditation for the 2017 Youth Day commemoration
Members of the media are invited to apply for accreditation to cover the 2017 Youth Day Commemoration scheduled to take place at Ventersdorp, North West Province.
The commemoration of Youth Day is attributed to the events of 1976 youth apprising where crowds of learners took to the streets on 16 June to protest against the introduction of Afrikaans as a medium of instruction for public schools.
The 2017 Youth Month will be commemorated under the theme, “The Year of O.R Tambo: Advancing Youth Economic Empowerment.”
To apply for media accreditation, kindly complete online registration form on the link https://www.gcis.gov.za/content/media-registration Deadline for submission of applications is Wednesday, 31 May 2017 at 16h00.
