About making representation to a parole board

As a complainant or victim of a crime, you may make representations in writing or attend the Parole Board sitting when the offender is considered for placement on parole or under correctional supervision.

What you should do

  1. You must inform the relevant correctional supervision and parole board (CSPB) in writing if you wish to make representations or attend the sitting of the offender’s parole board .
  2. The board will inform you in writing, stating when and to whom you should make representations. The date and venue of the relevant parole board meeting will also be specified.
  3. It is your responsibility to inform the commissioner or CSPB of your change of address.

How long does it take

The Parole Board will inform you in writing about the details of the representations and relevant Parole Board meeting.
