The Ministry for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities together with the Embassy of Italy and Save the Children will on Thursday, 8 July 2010 publicly announce a project to assist vulnerable children on the move in Musina on the border between South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Sponsored by the people of Italy, the project aims to ensure that systems are in place to assist unaccompanied migrants and other vulnerable children to protect them from exploitation, abuse, violence and discrimination.
The event will be attended by the Minister of Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya, Italian Ambassador Elio Menzione and Save the Children Regional Manager Elizabeth Hughes.
Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the event.
