Premier Makhura to share government safety plans with Reiger Park community

Gauteng Premier David Makhura will on Monday, 24 November 2014, visit Reiger Park, Ekurhuleni, to share government plans to make the area safer.

Premier Makhura will be accompanied by the MEC for Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane and Gauteng Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Lesetja Mothiba.

The community meeting will be preceded by visits to families that have been victims of crime in the area.

"When children are exposed to and affected by crime, their lives are changed forever. We must eradicate crime and build safer communities for our children and their future.

We appeal to the communities to join hands with government to bring the perpetrators of crime to book," said Makhura.
