The Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa and the Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille will hold discussions around the xenophobic threats and violence tomorrow at the ministry office, in Cape Town.
The meeting will also include the Mayor of Cape Town, Dan Plato as well as representatives from the Ministry of Police.
Minister Mthethwa will use the opportunity to brief the premier around the recently established Interministerial Committee's integrated plan to prevent any outbreak of violence against anyone, including foreign nationals in South Africa.
The basic principle of this plan is to engage all stakeholders within the community to build unity of purpose and a single vision in addressing this current challenge.
