MEC Debbie Schafer visits Grade 12 Spring Holiday Programme, 8 Oct

Minister Debbie Schafer to visit Grade 12 Spring Holiday Programme at Alexander Sinton High School

With only 12 days to go to the National Senior Certificate Exams (NSC) 2014, this is a crucial time for our Grade 12 learners.

On Wednesday, 8 October 2014, MEC Debbie Schäfer will visit the Grade 12 Holiday Programme at Alexander Sinton High School.

In order to assist our learners in preparation for the National Senior Certificate (NSC), the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has initiated a number of targeted and sustained interventions at schools across the province, including a Spring School for Grade 12 learners.

The WCED have organised holiday study programmes at 144 of our high schools. The ‘spring’ programmes aim to assist learners in high enrolment subjects.

Providing curriculum support to our Grade 12 learners is always a priority, and the Grade 12 ‘spring schools’ programme is just one of the many interventions by the WCED to help support and assist our Grade 12 learners.

Tomorrow, MEC Schäfer will be dropping into the Physical Science and Business Studies session. MEC Schäfer will also be interacting with the learners during the lunch break.

All media are invited and welcome to attend.

Date: Wednesday 8th October 2014
