In the light of unprecedented industrial action in the farms, especially in the Western Cape, the Minister of Labour, Mrs Mildred Oliphant will be holding a press conference on 27 November at 14h00 alongside Minister Angie Motshekga who was acting while she was overseas.
The Minister wants to use the opportunity to brief the media and the nation about the developments so far in regard to sectoral determination as it affects the farmworkers, the processes thereof and what the working timelines are. Also the Minister will use the opportunity to define what the different roles for the different stakeholders are, the process of negotiations between employers and representatives of workers and the way forward.
