Fuel supply
As we enter one of the busiest periods in the annual calendar, the Department of Energy takes this opportunity to inform South Africans that the oil companies have provided assurances that petrol and diesel will be available throughout the country.
The department also expects to announce the third consecutive significant fuel price decrease for January 2015. The expected decrease is due to decreases of crude oil prices that have been witnessed in the international markets during the preceding months.
The nation is reminded that the current electricity challenge requires all of us to conserve power. Whether you are at home or away, “live lightly” and switch off power that you don’t need!
Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson wishes everyone a restful festive season to be enjoyed with family and friends, and reminds motorists to drive safely, observe speed limits and ALWAYS conserve energy – fuel or electricity.
