53 of 1991

The repealed Forest Amendment Act 53 of 1991 intended:

  • to amend the Forest Act, 1984 [repealed in 2004], so as
  • to make further provision regarding the clearing and maintenance of fire belts;
  • to change the name of the Board for National Botanic Gardens to the National Botanical Institute; and
  • to extend and further define the objects and functions of the said institute; and
  • to provide for matters connected therewith.
