Financial and Fiscal Commission Amendment Act 25 of 2003

The Financial and Fiscal Commission Amendment Act 25 of 2003 intends:

• to amend the Financial and Fiscal Commission Act, 1997, so as:
  • to extend the functions of the Financial and Fiscal Commission;
  • to bring the number, and appointment procedure, of members of the Commission into line with section 221 of the Constitution; and
  • to alter certain procedures in respect of financial matters in order to bring the said Act into line with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.
