The Engineering Profession Act 46 of 2000 intends:
- to provide for the establishment of a juristic person to be known as the Engineering Council of South Africa;
- to provide for the registration of professionals, candidates and specified categories in the engineering profession;
- to provide for the regulation of the relationship between the Engineering Council of South Africa and the Council for the Built Environment; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
Commencement
- 26 January 2001, except ss. 4 (1) and (2) and 26 (Gazette 22023 of 26 January 2001)
- 1 July 2005, Ss. 4 (1), (2) and 27 (Gazette 27905 of 15 August 2005)
