Cross-boundary Municipalities Laws Repeal and Related Matters Amendment Act 8 of 2009

The Cross-boundary Municipalities Laws Repeal and Related Matters Amendment Act 8 of 2009 aims:

• to amend the Cross-boundary Municipalities Laws Repeal and Related Matters Act, 2005, so as to provide for consequential matters as a result of the re-determination of the geographical areas of certain provinces; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.

Commencement

• 22 April 2009 of section 9 (on day that 2009 election is proclaimed) (Gazette 32091 of 2 April 2009)
• 3 April 2009 (on commencement of Constitution Sixteenth Amendment Act) (Gazette 31900 of 12 February 2009)
