Soweto to have its own drugs rehabilitation centre
The Gauteng MEC for Social Development Ms. Faith Mazibuko will officially open the Substance Abuse Treatment Centre at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto.
Situated at the old Cerebral Palsy Clinic, the facility will cater for over 18 years adults that are dependent on substance abuse and alcohol.
The first of its kind in Soweto, The Centre will administer Inpatient Treatment Services, After-Care Services and Referrals to outpatient clinics and community based services. Specific services include detoxification and comprehensive treatment interventions.
