Public Service and Administration hosts 2015 post SoNA Presidential Golf Challenge, 13 Feb

Members of the media are invited to the annual Presidential Golf Challenge (PGC) which is hosted as part of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) activities.

The golf challenge hosted by the Ministry for Public Service and Administration in partnership with the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) will put an end to a week of SONA activities by President Jacob Zuma.

The objective of the event is to raise funds for a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative by the President with this year’s contributions to be made to the Jacob Zuma Education Trust.

The golf event will afford the President an opportunity to emphasise the role of business in economic development and growth using education as a tool for sustainable development and economic growth.

The networking opportunity between decision makers in the private sector and government will also allow for CSI alignment that seeks to make education for the poor a reality.

Attending the golf day will be Cabinet Ministers; Members of Parliament; Members of Executive Councils; Directors-General; Heads of State Owned Enterprises; and Executives from Private Sector Companies.
